We do not yet directly have a client library for any Arduino platforms, or for c/c++. If you want to use an Arduino board with Ably, or integrate Ably into a c or c++ application, you have three options.
- The first option (the one we recommend) is to use a standard MQTT library, and use our Ably MQTT adaptor, see https://support.ably.io/support/solutions/articles/3000054126-do-you-support-mqtt-are-you-protocol-agnostic- . Our MQTT adaptor is in public beta -- contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for usage instructions.
- The second option is to use the Pubnub library for that platform with our Pubnub protocol adaptor, see https://support.ably.io/support/solutions/articles/3000055107-using-the-ably-pubnub-protocol-adaptor
- The third option, if you only need to publish and not subscribe, is just to use an HTTP library with our REST api endpoints directly, see https://www.ably.io/documentation/rest-api/
